    Description

    Bates Eight vintage stamp. Can be adjusted to display consecutive numbers, ordates, etc., up to 6 digits. Not self-inking, but in working condition. The spring mechanism in the handle works, it stamps, the tension knob works, the numbers are adjustable. Cleaning or oiling would not hurt it, as I have not done either. It has a great large bakelite knob without damage. Made of heavy steel and brass om Orange, NJ. Patented device. The model is Bates Eight. Serial number B800077.
